Multimedia Presentation

Interview questions to ask a family member.
Remember it is about your families history so consider that when choosing the right relative.  You want to choose an older relative not your siblings. Ask eight of the twelve questions. You can ask any additional questions you would like to know more about.  Remember to find a quiet place to conduct the interview and place the tape recorder close to the interviewee. Remember to test the tape recorder prior to the interview. Thank the interviewee for taking the time  and answering these questions to help you with your multimedia presentation.  When you are ready to start the interview hit record and ask away. Remember to jot down notes under each question you ask.

My Special Place

My Special Place Poem:

Close your eyes and visualize a special place you have been.  It could be a place you visit everyday or a place you went to one time on vacation . When you have chosen your favorite place imagine you are at that place. What do you hear? What do you smell? Is there a taste on your tongue? What is under your feet? What do you feel on your skin when you are at this special place?
Here is the graphic organizer to organize your thoughts and sample.

Once you thought of descriptive phrases and added sensory details to your graphic organizer you are ready to begin writing your poem. Here is a template in which you can follow. You can switch the lines and senses around to help make your poem flow. You must have a least five sensory details in your poem. Here is the rubric for the poem.  Here is the poem template and sample poem I had written about Room 212.

Once you have written reread and revised your poem. Meet with your editing partner and review and edit each others poems. Once you have edited your poem you can begin typing poem in Google Docs.

When I receive all poems type on Google Docs I will post them on the Mrs. Kozma's class blog. You must comment on your blog partner poem. In the post you must include a comment about the poem, a connection and one question. Read and review the blog comment rubric.
